Dr. R. G. W. Pinto, Professor and Head, Department of Pathology, Goa Medical College, was guest faculty, delivered a lecture on "Infections in Cytology - an Indian perspective" and chaired a scientific session at the 11th Thai - Japanese Workshop in Diagnostic Cytology held at Jomtien Beach, Chonburi, Thailand, from 12 th to 15 th January 2005.

The workshop, attended by 150 delegates from various countries, was organized by the Thai Society of Cytology, the Japanese Society of Clinical Cytology, Chonburi Cancer Centre, Chiang Mai University, Thailand, and the Nippon Medical School, Japan.
